Maintenance Supervisor
We are currently in need of experienced Electrical and Mechanical Supervisors who are strong leaders with sound technical skills to direct the efficient, effective, and safe execution of electrical and mechanical work and personnel.
Role Responsibilities include: Supervise multi-craft crews containing electricians and mechanics, participate in setting priorities on identified work, and supervise jobs as assigned.
Role Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance supervision experience and heavy industry experience required. Experience in a Union labor plant required; Microsoft and SAP experience preferred.
The ideal candidate must meet the above requirements, be proficient in written and communication skills, and have a strong commitment to safety. Experience in the Aluminum industry a plus.
Senior Process Engineer – Carbon
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with 5+ years of technical and/or operating experience in primary aluminum or carbon anode production. Responsibilities include planning, leading, and executing process tests designed to improve production and profitability as well as reduce environmental impact in all areas of carbon anode production. The Carbon Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring and analyses of process data using statistical methods and recommending solutions to process problems. The Carbon Process Engineer also assists in developing long-term goals directed toward increasing profitability.
The ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor’s of Science degree in an engineering or technical field and direct experience in manufacturing of carbon anodes for primary aluminum production.
Candidate must have excellent work ethics, effective written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and an ability to meet deadlines and objectives.
Century Aluminum of Kentucky GP is seeking computer-literate Industrial Mechanics and Electricians with a minimum of two years of heavy industrial journeyman experience. Candidates must be safety conscious and willing to work various shift schedules and overtime. Technical training may be considered as experience if applicable. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanic
Candidates must have working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, procedures for removing/installing bearings, gearbox repair, and coupling alignment. Mechanics must be experienced troubleshooters, capable of reading prints, skilled repair welders, and fabricators capable of working with steel and aluminum.
Electrician
Candidates must have a working knowledge of PLC logic controls and be capable of diagnosing and repairing AC, DC, and variable speed drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical circuits with both solid state and relay logic. Candidates also must be capable of reading electrical and electronic schematics/ladder logic diagrams.
